Hi, I'm Petra and this is my weight loss/fitness blog.

I used to be on Weight Watchers from January 2011 to October 2012, dropping approximately 45 lbs. I've made the transition from unhealthy and unhappy to athlete and this is my journey to becoming a healthier, happier me. I frequently post about my exercise (mostly running, yoga and lifting), the foods I eat, recipes I liked and my daily struggles. You'll also find the occasional tree hugger post, (travel) photography or anything else I find worth remembering and collecting.

I follow most blogs back that follow me. However, I do stay away from blogs that promote EDs, unhealthy methods of weight loss or negative body image.

Feel free to say hi any time!

So heart-breaking to see. I watched the match with my friend Maria at a beergarden in Brooklyn and the following thoughts occurred to me:The final was an incredibly exciting and wonderfully fair game. Take a look, Spain’s and Holland’s men’s teams and learn from that.
Both Japan and the USA deserved to win this. The US were a little better during the first half and their only “mistake” was not scoring the 2 - 0 before halftime. Japan, on the other hand, were fierce and kept fighting and in the end, they had more luck and better nerves.
The Japanese goalkeeper is a machine! Jesus, that woman is amazing! I felt bad for Hope Solo for having a weak penalty shootout during what was possibly one of the most important games in her career.
Seeing Japan win really, really touched my heart. After everything this country has been through in the last year - and what they continue to go through - I thought it was wonderful for them to achieve this amazing triumph.
The game took place in my “home stadium” in Frankfurt, the city I lived in for the last four years. I’d been to that stadium a few times. Frankfurt’s women’s soccer team has been dominating the German league for years and has brought forth/attracted some of the best players in the world. It made me proud that Frankfurt got to host such a wonderful game.

Can we be friends and take awesome pictures with dinosaurs, ‘cause that’s awesome.

Awwww, this was taken at the Senckenberg Museum (Natural History Museum in Frankfurt) in Frankfurt Bockenheim, just mere steps away from my old work. I’ve been many times and really love this place.

Wonderful shot too!
